Start your adventure with a leisurely introduction to Chile’s vibrant capital, where history and culture come to life. Once at your hotel, take your time to refresh and unwind, enjoying a peaceful afternoon before the exciting days ahead. Rest well—your adventure is just beginning!
Exploring Osorno Volcano & Petrohué Falls
After a delightful breakfast, your adventure begins with a journey to Ensenada, where you’ll visit the serene Laguna Verde at the base of the majestic Osorno Volcano. From there, we’ll ascend its impressive slopes, taking in breathtaking views along the way.
As we enter Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park—Chile’s oldest national park—you’ll have the chance to wander through its enchanting landscapes and admire the sparkling waters of Todos Los Santos Lake. To complete the experience, we’ll visit the spectacular Petrohué Falls, a must-see gem in Chile’s stunning Lake District.
A Day at Your Leisure in Puerto Varas
Take advantage of a free day to immerse yourself in the many experiences Puerto Varas has to offer. If you love outdoor adventures, consider setting out on the Paso el Solitario trail, a scenic hike that begins at the base of Osorno Volcano.
Led by a knowledgeable local guide, this moderate trek takes around three hours and rewards you with breathtaking views at every turn. Along the way, you’ll also get a close look at the region’s native flora, including the towering ulmo and cohiue trees that blanket the landscape.
Journey to Torres del Paine
Today, you’ll embark on an unforgettable trip to Torres del Paine National Park, one of the world’s most breathtaking nature reserves. We’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport for a short flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, we’ll head straight to the heart of this remarkable park.
A UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve, Torres del Paine attracts travelers from around the globe, and the best way to experience its beauty is on foot. Owls glide through the sky alongside majestic condors, while deer and guanacos roam the vast valleys beneath towering granite peaks. Here, you’ll witness some of Chile’s most awe-inspiring landscapes, making for an unforgettable adventure.
Solo Trek to the Base of Las Torres
For your first day in Patagonia, we recommend setting out on a solo hike to the Base of Las Torres, the most iconic trail in Torres del Paine National Park. This unforgettable journey winds around the striking Cuernos del Paine and takes approximately 8 to 10 hours round trip.
You’ll traverse the breathtaking Ascensio Valley, following its winding path alongside the Ascensio River until you reach your first stop—Refugio El Chileno. If you prefer to save your energy for the final ascent, you can opt to rent a horse for the ride to the refuge before continuing on foot to the spectacular Base of Las Torres.
Pehoé Lake & Grey Glacier Adventure
We’ll pick you up from your hotel and take you to Pudeto, where you’ll board a mid-sized boat to cross the stunning Pehoé Lake. Upon arrival at Refugio Paine, the starting point of your trek, you’ll set off on an unforgettable journey.
The trail leads to a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the immense Grey Glacier, a spectacular ice mass extending from the Southern Patagonian Ice Field. Though the hike is challenging, every step is rewarded with awe-inspiring scenery that makes the adventure truly worthwhile.
Returning to Santiago
This morning, a shuttle will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Punta Arenas airport for your flight back to Santiago, where you’ll enjoy a brief overnight stay.
Tomorrow, your journey continues as you fly north to San Pedro de Atacama, the gateway to the world’s driest desert. Get ready to explore its otherworldly landscapes and breathtaking natural wonders.
Journey to Atacama: From Santiago to San Pedro
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll take a short flight to Calama, where a private transfer will whisk you away to your accommodations in San Pedro de Atacama.
In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the beauty of Atacama with a visit to the stunning Cejar and Tebenquiche lagoons, nestled within the vast Atacama Salt Flat. Here, you can float in crystal-clear turquoise waters while admiring the breathtaking backdrop of towering volcanoes.
Next, venture deeper into the salt flats to discover the “Ojos del Salar,” two striking freshwater pools in the heart of the desert—an enchanting oasis in this surreal landscape.
Exploring the Wonders of Atacama
Your adventure begins with a scenic drive 40 miles north to the Atacama Salt Flat, where you’ll stop at the Chaxa Lagoon to spot some of the resident flamingos within this protected reserve.
Next, head to the striking Miscanti and Miñiques lakes, also known as the High-Andean lakes. Take some time to capture the breathtaking views—these beautiful lagoons were formed by the eruption of the Meñique volcano, leaving behind a natural scar that has evolved into a stunning landmark.
Continue your journey with a visit to the charming village of Socaire, where you’ll have the chance to taste some of the best traditional Atacama cuisine. Then, explore the oasis-like town of Toconao, a peaceful retreat nestled in the heart of the Atacama Desert.
Atacama Adventure: Geysers and Moon Valley
Your day begins early, around 4 a.m., when we’ll pick you up for a 60-mile journey into the Andes, where you’ll experience a full-day excursion to the Tatio Geyser Field. Here, you’ll find 40 active geysers and 70 hot springs, perfect for a relaxing soak after enjoying a delicious breakfast in this incredible geothermal setting.
In the afternoon, your next adventure takes you to the mesmerizing Valley of the Moon, a place that gives Atacama its lunar-like reputation. From there, embark on a winding path leading to the Salt Caves, where you’ll discover fascinating salt crystals that have formed over centuries due to the region’s arid conditions and high altitude.
Flight to Santiago: Chile’s Vibrant Capital
Today, we’ll assist you in catching your flight to Santiago, the dynamic capital of Chile.
Nestled between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, this bustling city offers a wide array of attractions for every curious traveler. Santiago is famous for its exquisite Cabernet Sauvignon and the stylish “Sanhattan” district, a chic blend of Manhattan’s sophistication and Santiago’s charm—a shopping haven for those in search of the perfect souvenir.
Exploring Valparaíso & Viña del Mar
Discover the charming city of Valparaíso as you wander through its vibrant bohemian neighborhoods along Chile’s Pacific coast. This picturesque city, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, captivates visitors with its unique character and historic landmarks.
After strolling through Plaza Victoria, adorned with Peruvian sculptures, we’ll explore the heart of the city and the iconic Plaza Sotomayor before heading to the bustling Prat Port. Relax with your first gondola ride of the day, taking you to the elegant Baburizza Palace, built in 1916. Along the way, you’ll pass colorful homes perched above the city, offering stunning views of the bay, all while enjoying a peaceful afternoon in this coastal gem.
A Free Day in Santiago: Explore at Your Own Pace
Today, you have no set plans—it’s your chance to continue discovering the wonders of Santiago, a city rich in history and architectural treasures.
