Welcome to Colombia, Your Refuge for Adventure and Romance
Upon landing in Bogotá, a friendly IB host will be there to warmly greet you. You won’t have to worry about transportation; we take care of everything to ensure your arrival is as comfortable as possible. We’ll transport you directly to your hotel, where you can rest and relax before embarking on your enchanting honeymoon. Take the time to enjoy a peaceful evening, recharging your energy to explore the vibrant city of Bogotá the next day.
A Private Tour through the Soul of Bogotá
Start your adventure in Bogotá with an exclusive tour that will take you deep into the essence of Colombia’s capital. Begin your day at the vibrant Paloquemao market, a place filled with aromas and life, where fresh local produce and beautiful flowers invite you to explore the traditions of the people of Bogotá.
Next, be captivated by La Candelaria, the oldest and most vibrant neighborhood in the city, considered the beating heart of Bogotá. Here, the historic Plaza Bolívar offers an atmosphere rich in history and culture.
To end your day, your guide will take you to the famous Gold Museum, where you’ll have the chance to admire one of the most impressive collections of pre-Columbian gold artifacts. With over 35,000 pieces, this museum is a fascinating window into the region’s cultural wealth. Don’t miss the golden raft, one of the most iconic treasures, which inspired the legendary search for El Dorado.
This morning, we’ll make sure your journey is as smooth and comfortable as possible by accompanying you to the airport for your flight to Pereira, a key destination in Colombia’s renowned coffee region.
Often regarded as the cultural heart of the country, this region will delight you with breathtaking views at every turn. From the gentle hills adorned with coffee plantations to the grand valleys and mountains, the landscape will captivate you. Staying at a local finca or hacienda will allow you to immerse yourself in the tranquility and beauty of this environment, offering a well-deserved rest surrounded by nature and the warmth of the region.
Discovering the Magic of the Coffee Region
Salento is an Andean town in Colombia located west of Bogota. It is popular for its coffee estates and verdant scenery. On the east side of Salento is Cocora Valley where lofty wax palm trees are home to rare parrots and other birds.
In 1985, Ceroxylon Quindiuense, a distinct species of a palm tree, was declared the country’s national tree.
We will begin the tour by visiting the Cocora Valley.
First, you’ll have a welcome cocktail called “Canelazo.” With the assistance of a specialist eco guide, we’ll be ready to start the introduction to the natural reserve of Cocora.
You will then be transferred to the fog’s forest to witness the biodiversity of fauna and flora. There you’ll find the highest wax palm in the world and the tour won’t be complete without connecting with the earth. We will do a special ritual planting of some palms to pay our respect and appreciation to the wonderful gifts of Mother Nature.
After the planting, we’ll go to the typical village of Salento, a heritage town characterized by its stunning and colorful traditional architecture. We will stop for lunch and continue visiting Filandia, a little town where you can walk through and adore its colonial streets and beautiful crafts.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the “La Colina Iluminada” lookout point. It offers a panoramic view of the mountains of the coffee region and you have to get your cameras ready.
Finally, we will visit a traditional basketry workshop where you will learn the art of making baskets using vegetable fibers.
Heading to the Caribbean Coast of Colombia
This morning, you’ll board a flight from Armenia to Santa Marta, and then continue by road to the stunning Tayrona National Park. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the world’s highest coastal mountain range, Tayrona is a true natural paradise. Its golden sandy beaches, surrounded by palm trees, stretch along the coastline, while lush tropical jungle merges seamlessly with the sea. Without a doubt, this will be the perfect place to enjoy a few days of relaxation and tranquility, surrounded by nature and the company of your loved ones.
Exploring the Natural Paradise of Tayrona National Park
In the morning, your guide will take you through the main entrance of Tayrona National Park, where you’ll begin a leisurely walk toward the beautiful beaches that await you. Along the coastal trails, you’ll be able to enjoy the stunning combination of waves, golden sand, and the dense jungle vegetation, creating truly breathtaking views. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, a horseback ride can be arranged, allowing you to explore the park in comfort and enjoy even more of this dreamy natural haven.
An Escape Between the Sea and the Jungle
Tayrona is the perfect place to unwind and immerse yourself in the serenity of nature. Sitting on the white sands of Cañaveral, you can enjoy the gentle sound of the waves while the vibrant rhythm of the tropical jungle surrounds you. The imposing tropical forests that border the coast are home to indigenous communities such as the Koji, Arhuaco, and Wiwa. Moreover, being located next to the world’s highest coastal mountain range, it is a paradise for adventurers eager to explore its jungle trails. If you prefer, you can opt to rest on the peaceful beach or enjoy the cool breeze in a hammock, letting yourself be enveloped by the beauty of this Caribbean corner.
Discovering Cartagena: History, Romance, and Beauty
This morning, your adventure in Cartagena begins with an expert guide who will take you through the city’s rich history and stunning architecture. Your journey starts at the majestic Castillo de San Felipe, the largest Spanish fortress in the Americas, where you can admire panoramic views of the old town. Beneath this imposing structure, a labyrinth of tunnels, some illuminated and open to visitors, invites you to delve into the fascinating history of past centuries.
There’s no more charming way to end your first day in Cartagena than with a horse-drawn carriage ride at sunset. Couples can enjoy the magic of the old town, with its cobblestone streets, beautiful colonial buildings, balconies adorned with flowers, and the gentle Caribbean breeze that will make this experience an unforgettable memory.
A Day to Enjoy at Your Own Pace in Cartagena
Want to explore new flavors and textures? Try the nectar of the Gods in Cartagena with this premium rum tasting experience. This tour will walk you through the history and brewing process of the country’s most prized exports.
Discover new flavors and textures and learn to distinguish between a good cocktail and our exquisite liquor.
This exceptional experience will be led by one of the most celebrated mixologists in Colombia. He will guide you and show you that the mysterious world of liquor goes way beyond a bottle. As part of the main service, chocolate is offered too for rum tasting. The tasting is based on different rums from our Colombian culture accompanied by the best chocolates in our land.
You will have the rest of the day to explore all that this charming city has to offer. In addition to its vibrant history, you can lose yourself in its quaint local shops or indulge in a delicious meal at one of its restaurants, each with its own unique flair. If you prefer a more relaxed plan, why not take a stroll to the beautiful beaches of Boca Grande? There, you can bask in the sun and observe how the locals experience the sea and the Caribbean breeze. The day is yours to enjoy however you wish!
Flight to San Andres
Providencia, also known as Providencia Vieja or simply Providencia, is the smallest of the two main islands in the archipelago. Providencia Vieja boasts a quieter, more mountainous landscape compared to its larger neighbor, San Andrés, thanks to its designation as a national park.
Declared a national park to protect its obvious natural beauty, this lush island is home to fewer than 6,000 people. The island is rich in treasures such as pristine beaches and incredible opportunities for diving. It offers a much more relaxed atmosphere than San Andrés, and it is not visited for its vibrant nightlife or bars. A few days of relaxation here will be the perfect end to your luxurious honeymoon adventure.
A Few Days of Relaxation in Providencia
Take a day to immerse yourself in the serenity of Providencia Island. This Caribbean paradise invites you to relax under the sun on its beautiful beaches, surrounded by palm trees. If you’re up for it, you can venture on a buggy ride around the island or even hike to its highest point to enjoy breathtaking views. For those who love the sea, snorkeling or diving in its crystal-clear waters will offer you a unique experience. And if you prefer to simply unwind, Providencia is the perfect retreat to disconnect and enjoy its Caribbean tranquility.

Upon your arrival to Lima, you’ll find your Inkas Blood host ready to take you directly to your hotel where you can relax into the evening and enjoy a good night’s rest before embarking on the next day’s adventure.
We’ll escort you back to the airport for your morning flight to Cusco in the morning. Watch the windows as the desert coast rises into the snow-capped peaks of the Andes!
Upon touching down in Cusco, we’ll bring you out for a tasty lunch, before taking you to the Sacred Valley, where the lower altitudes make it easier to acclimatize. Just 15 minutes outside of Cusco, true Peruvian countryside will stretch away on either side of you as impossibly steep peaks rise in the distance. Our first stop is at Awanakancha Living Museum. At this “living museum,” you’ll come face-to-face with some of South America’s most endearing inhabitants, including alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn about traditional weaving.
After breakfast, your journey will take you to an ancient hacienda, nestled in the fertile valley next to the pueblo of Pisac. Step onto the family-owned hacienda grounds and step into centuries past while your hosts expound upon the growing process of Giant White Corn and its profound cultural significance in the Andes Mountains. This hacienda dates back generations, and you’ll immediately be immersed in local customs steeped in the spirits and mysticism of the Andes, and embraced by the warmth of local Peruvians.
Relish your time on the farm with a delicious multi-course lunch with sample dishes featuring none other than the “white gold” giant-kernelled corn, and make sure to visit the on-site stables housing the renowned Peruvian Paso horses. Watch the horses dance with their human counterparts in a “marinera” demonstration, and even go for a quick trot yourself if you feel up to the task!
From there, your exclusive tour of Peru will take you to another valley town – Pisac – where you’ll have the chance to rub shoulders with locals as you survey the artisan offerings of the market. Vegetables, textiles, and silver jewelry are just some of the items that are sold here.
From here, continue up the mountain in your private vehicle for today’s final stop at the ruins overlooking Pisac. Here, you’ll learn about the complexity of the Incan agricultural system, and their methods of cultivating thousands of varieties of corn and potatoes, and you’ll watch the sun sink over the tips of the Andes Mountains surrounding you.
Performed by an Andean shaman amidst the splendor of Peru’s sierra, and in the presence of the Apus (mountain spirits) and Pachamama (Mother Earth), an Andean wedding ceremony is an incredibly mystical and meaningful way for a couple to bind their lives together or renew their vows to one another.
The ceremony begins in the morning and will include rites of purification and flowering, as well as rites of the four elements – water (purity), fire (strength), air (the Apus), and earth (Pachamama). Together with the help of your shaman, you will make an offering to Pachamama, asking that she protect your union, before exchanging symbolic presents and drink to ensure the strength of your union.
In the morning, we will board the train in Ollantaytambo for our journey to Machu Picchu. Watch the cloud jungle pass by through the large glass windows! Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, we’ll tuck into an early lunch in order to refuel before ascending to Peru’s lost citadel.
After a bus ride to the gates of this wonder of the world, you will pass through the main gates with your private guide to finally emerge at the top of the world – Machu Picchu. The incredible Inca stone construction will be spread below, alternately hidden and revealed by clouds. Your expert guide will give you a private tour of the ancient city.
Upon conclusion of your tour, return for an evening in Aguas Calientes. Enjoy an excellent dinner on-site at your hotel and fall into bed, lulled to sleep by the sound of the cloud forest around you.
Today you have the option to hike two different trails – Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, so it’s completely up to you how you would like to culminate your Machu Picchu luxury tour. Feeling adventurous? Consider hiking the steep slope of neighboring Huayna Picchu, which offers unrivaled views over Machu Picchu. Please note that only a limited number of hikers are allowed to climb Huayna Picchu each day and tickets will need to be purchased in advance along with your Machu Picchu entrance.
In the afternoon, reconvene in Aguas Calientes and board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Your Inkas Blood host will meet you at the station and bring you to your hotel for a well-deserved good night’s rest.
After breakfast this morning, we are visiting the Hacienda of Huayoccari. Tucked away in the lush, vegetation-filled private estate of the Lambarri-Orihuela family, this centuries-old hacienda is still family-owned and operated. As you walk through the hacienda, remember to stop and look at the private collection of pre-Columbian, Inca, and colonial artifacts including an impressive collection of ‘Qeros,’ the traditional drinking vessels.
You will start the morning by taking a tour on horseback off-the-beaten-path communities surrounding the hacienda. Peruvian Fine-Step horses, or “Peruvian Paso” horses, are small and elegant creatures known for their smooth gait and friendly disposition. Afterward, return to the Huayoccari Hacienda for a delicious fresh gourmet lunch.
It’s time to get acquainted with Cusco, a romantic city that wins the heart of almost every traveler that passes through it. After breakfast, meet your guide and wander among the archaeological remains of Sacsayhuaman, where the Incas staged a great battle against the conquistadors. Return to the city and roam the atmospheric streets of the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, which is known for its free-spirited scene. Explore Coricancha and the Santo Domingo monastery (a colonial structure built on top of the ancient Inca temple of the sun); see where the locals make their grocery runs at the open-air San Pedro market and pass the famous 12-angled stone, whose image appears on the bottle of the local Cusqueña beer.
At the end of the tour, your guide will suggest places to enjoy a delicious local lunch.
From the mountains to the coastline, Peru is ready to offer you something spectacular. Early this morning we will pick you up from your Cusco hotel to continue your romantic encounter or Peru honeymoon on Peru’s northern beaches. We will send you on your way to Tumbes in the north of Peru via a connecting flight to Lima.
A host from your beachside resort will be waiting to meet you at the airport in Tumbes, ready to accompany you on a breathtaking coastal road trip to Mancora.
Check in to your beautiful hotel and instantly begin enjoying its comforts on this simply lovely stretch of coast.
Spend the day reveling in the luxury and tranquility of your hotel and enjoying these wonderful beaches. Relax, take a surf lesson, or ask your hotel about sites of interest and places to visit whilst you are here.
One more beach day on your romantic honeymoon in Peru? Yes, please. Enjoy a day of leisure, with activities like snorkeling in the lively Organos Bay, and discover its unique marine wonder world, including a coral reef and its colorful inhabitants. This beautiful bay is an ideal spot to enjoy snorkeling, an activity suitable for almost every level of expertise.
If it is your first time snorkeling, you will be given some basic techniques so that you will be able to learn all you need in just one day. The only requisite is to know how to swim! Delight your senses and encounter the magic of the northern coast.
After nearly two weeks of unforgettable memories made in Peru, it’s time to depart home. First, we’ll bring you to Tumbes airport for your return flight to Lima.
