These three days in Sacred Valley-Machu Picchu tour provides you to meet highlights in Sacred Valley and Inca trail. You will pass through archaeological sites of the Sacred Valley such as Chinchero, Moray and Ollantaytambo. Afterwards you will have opportunity follow great Short Inca trail to Macchu Picchu, same way as Inca, the Sun of Sun, walked over five hundred years ago.

During two-days Inca Trail to Machu Picchu you will be able to observe impressive Inca sites, walk cross the National Park and finally enter through the Inti Punku (Sun Gate) which provides breath-taken views on Machu Picchu and surrounded nature.

Our tourists going on the short Inca Trail will have the privilege to enjoy the famous Citadel of Machu Picchu in the afternoon (during first day visiting) and also see this magical place in the morning on the second day. ITINERARY

DAY 01:

  • 7:30 a.m. pick up from your hotel in Cusco and start your tour
  • Tour in Maras, Moray and Sacred Valley (visiting Chinchero, Moray, Salineras de Maras, Ollantaytambo Market and Inca Remains. Appr. duration time till 3:00 p.m.).
  • Free time to visit and exploring the city of Ollantaytambo by your own
  • Hotel night in the town of Ollantaytambo.

DAY 02:

  • Breakfast in hotel
  • 7:20 a.m. travel by train to Km 104 (start of the Inca trail).
  • 8:20 a.m. hike from Km 104 – Wiñayhuayna.
  • 11:45 a.m. lunch and rest
  • 2:00 p.m hike to Machu Picchu.4:30 PM. Descent by bus to our hotel in the town of Aguas Calientes.
  • 6:30 p.m. dinner and overnight at our hotel.

DAY 03:

  • 5:00 a.m. breakfast.
  • 5:30 a.m. bus to Machu Picchu 30 minutes approx.
  • 6:00 a.m, sunrise at Machu Picchu.
  • 00 a.m. guided tour in Machu Picchu 2 hours. approx.
  • In the afternoon return by bus to Aguas Calientes.
  • 4:12 p.m. return by train to Ollantaytambo.
  • 5:50 p.m. transfer by car, Ollantaytambo – Cusco.
  • 8:00 PM. arrival to Cusco and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 1

Day 01. CUSCO – VALLE SAGRADO – OLLANTAYTAMBO.

The Sacred Valley tour Machu Picchu 3 days starts at 8:00 am, when we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. First iconic landscape “Sacred Valley of the Incas” will show you its beauty in a few hours. We will visit the typical colorful market of Pisaq, place famous as one the most gorgeous craft fair far and wide. We will walk through an archaeological group of Pisac, where picturesque terraces cultivated in the mountains are seen.

Continuing to the town of Urubamba where you can take a lunch (optional $ 20 USD per person). Gastronomy experience replace new one in other town – visiting the fortress of Ollantaytambo with agricultural terraces and the water temple. After walking throw its artisan market we will take you to your hotel. The rest of day you can enjoy your free time and discover this cute small town of Incas by yourself.

DAY 2

DAY 02. OLLANTAYTAMBO – KM 104 – WIÑAYWAYNA – AGUAS CALIENTES.

Ready for hike in magic Peruvian nature? Start at 7.20 a.m, when we onboard you to train from Ollantaytambo to KM 104. After one hour of travel you can tighten your lace and set out from KM 104 (2,200 m / 7,217 ft) for other Incas checkpoints. We will cross the bridge that is over the Urubamba or Willkamayuc River (in Quechua means Sacred River), very important for  local people.

At the control point, you must show your identification documents – ideally passport or an Immigration Card or a National Identity Document. Short paperwork soon will change the archaeological center of Chachabamba and Choquesuysuy, hidden in nice-smelling semi-tropical forest.

Walk step by step through stairs ascending until we will reach the next place on the trail. Observing beauties The Sacred Valley, waterfalls and various types of orchids from the semi-tropical forest, after 3 hours of walking will arrive at Wiñaywayna (2,650 m / 8,694 ft). It perfectly demonstrate what agriculture was like in the time of the Incas.

Along its slopes lies a large number of circular terraces, where the Incas cultivated different agricultural products. The name of Wiñaywayna comes from a beautiful orchid that abounds in the area and what mean in Spanish “forever young”. Historical treasure is based on from more than 20 buildings. One of them, the Temple of the Rainbow also called the Temple of Fertility, will be met by us in hour later. Here you can savor box lunch to replenish energy and continue until you reach the control point of Wiñaywayna.

Second part of the tour is made up from 2 hours of walking through an Andean plain, stone stairs and tambos (“resting places”) up to Inki Punku – Sun Gate (2,720 m / 8,923 ft). In the time of the Incas this fames gate functioned as entrance control to the Citadel of Machu Picchu; from here you have an impressive panoramic view of Machu Picchu and the entire Valley that surrounds it. We believe you will leaving this magic place hardly , anyway, there is time to visit *sweet cherry* of the whole tour. Slowly descend for approximately 30 minutes to the wonder of the world Machu Picchu (2,490 m / 8,169 ft) to taste his beauty, showered by golden afternoon sunshine.

Daily tour will finish in Aguas Calientes, where we spent night in super nice hotel. And what can be better after fool day hike like relaxing in famous thermal baths, located only 10 minutes away from town?

With closest darkness will be arriving also time to feel vibe of night town. Do not hesitate and enjoy dancing in salsa rhythm or just take a drink in one of plenty bars and restaurants. You can choose from smaller cute place up to cozy restaurant with delicious a la carte dinner. Well, we live just one, so enjoy your Machui Picchu night the most.

DAY 3

DAY 03. TOUR A MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO

Machu Picchu calling! So, the last tour day we start really early. After breakfast we will take bus to the Citadel of Machu Picchu (30 minutes). During your 2-hours guided tour you

This day we will start our tour very early and after breakfast we go to the station to board the bus, we will make a 30-minute trip to the Citadel of Machu Picchu. During 2 -hours guided tour you will see the most important places of Machu Picchu. After the tour you can take free time to explore ruins by yourself. (optional climb the Huayna Picchu mountain has an extra cost of $75 USD per person.)

At the appropriate time we will descend from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch in one of the various restaurant regarding your taste and wish. Machu Picchu adventure will be slowly finishing. In the afternoon we will take the train back to Cusco (you must be at the station 30 minutes before the train leaves), after arrival at the train station in Ollantaytambo, a representative of our company will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel in Cusco (1 hour and 30 minutes by car). And with last ”goodbye” (and hope, you enjoy trip and also our company) will finished our services

The backpacks can be of any size, but we always recommend smaller ones, since inside Machu Picchu, there are not allowed bags of more than 25 liters. If it is larger, you will need to store them outside the citadel gates.
